Black and White Photography
The Holga images are created in-camera using overlapping frames and sequenced images. I have concentrated on dogs as my primary subject matter because they are so like Holgas: silly, joyful, and a touch unpredictable.
I overlap half and quarter turns, piling one image on top of the next. I pair up images in camera and hope that what turns up tells me something about the moment that just swelled, faded and disappeared. Somehow I imagine that if I can apprehend one moment, I will grasp them all.
